Thief, stop that thief!

A friend mentioned that there was an article in the Herald about NZ being one of the least corrupt countries in the world. You don’t really get the importance of this till you get mugged in Bali. What should have been an upsetting inconvenience turns into an ethical and moral dilemma where you end up getting everyone who wants to help you in trouble and have to decide whether reporting the case to the authorities is just so much more trouble than it’s worth. And by trouble I mean $.
