We recently headed along to our lovely Smartnetwork blogger, Junica's video shoot for his latest single And It Hurts. Arriving in a huge West Auckland warehouse our first sight was an incredible contemporary dancer with images being projected on him and throwing himself around on the wet concrete floor. We were defiantly in for an interesting day...It would be rude not to film some of the excitement wouldnt it?
Junica's latest single is all about the pain of a break-up, a simple idea which inspired an abstract and beautiful video concept. Elena Doyle fresh from Ireland took on the role of director for the shoot, bringing her background in short films to her first music video. Despite a long day of shooting Junica was nice enough to sit down for a chat, check out some of the madness that went on.
Junica's first single Living in my House featuring good friend Ladyhawke gained huge momentum, with the track topping NZ charts and gaining huge cross-over by being played on the B-Net stations through to mainstream and easy listening stations. We hope Junicas latest single does just as well.
