David Shields is one of those people that you can lose hours with just listening to the incredible stories from throughout his career. Originally set to be a jockey before he grew a little bit too much, David became a make-up artist. After a friend telling him he had too many ideas, he began taking pictures. Since then he has shot for Vogue Homme International (fr and jp), French Vogue, Dazed and Confused, GQ, Oyster and many more along with shooting some of Hollywood's top celebrities. David has since moved back to New Zealand to focus on more art-based projects and to take New Zealand to the rest of the world. We followed David to capture a typical day in his life and to find out what makes him tick.
